The Rwandan Community Abroad the then it used to be called Rwandan Diaspora, it began and originate from the Embassy of Rwanda in Bujumbura –Burundi around 1962. It was started by few Rwandan mostly Citizens and its first mission was mobilize Rwandans in all Burundi Countries.

Rwandan Professionals Abroad is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) committed to contribute to Rwandan development by working in partnership with the Government of Rwanda and its partners through collaborations, consultations and dialogues. Rwandan Professionals Abroad brings diverse skills, knowledge and experience to assist in implementation of GoR̕s national strategic goals (NSG).
